Presenters

Ira Socol

Ira Socol has taught and led intervention services throughout his educational career including work with vocational rehab, K-12 special and regular education, assistive technology, and transition services in Michigan and Virginia. While in a doctoral program at Michigan State, he provided consultation to districts throughout Michigan with focus on increasing access and engagement of students in their own learning and lifespan skill development, especially in literacy. He currently is working with public schools across the nation to implement student-centered learning, competency-driven models, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Adam Seipel

Adam Seipel, former high school English teacher, ITRT, and current learning design consultant, will collaborate and focus on UDL tools and strategies that increase student access to standards and curriculum at elementary, middle, and high school levels.
