Workshop Details

In traditional grading systems, learners are often reduced to numbers in a gradebook—ranked, sorted, and defined by points and percentages. But imagine a world where students are valued for their growth, individuality, and progress over time. A shift to competency-based assessment, grading, and reporting makes this vision a reality.

In this webinar, we’ll explore the hidden messages conveyed through traditional grading, why it’s time to shift our approach, and innovative examples of competency-based systems from across the country.

Participants will walk away with access to a comprehensive Competency-Based Reporting Playbook that outlines the steps for designing a new approach to assessment and grading in their own context. Join us in redefining success and how we measure it, so every learner can know who they are, thrive in community, and actively engage in the world as their best selves.

Recertification Certificate

Because this webinar is less than 5 hours no recertification points will be awarded.
