Workshop Details

Language comprehension is a pivotal component of reading development. How do we intentionally grow our youngest learners’ language comprehension throughout our school day? In this workshop, we will examine and experience the ways read alouds, vocabulary instruction, talking, drawing, and writing build young readers’ and writers’ language comprehension and background knowledge. We will look at the ways these instructional practices can be implemented across the curriculum, including literacy, math, science, and play to create a cohesive, impactful learning experience for all children.

Virtual Workshop Information

There will be two additional virtual follow-up sessions (dates to be determined).
