Workshop Details

Teachers, principals, and central office leaders will engage in a series of iterative learning cycles scheduled throughout the school year to build their knowledge and strengthen their coaching practices. Participants will work together as a cohort, in triads, and independently with a coach to transfer their learning into actionable practice within the context of their role. Expected Outcomes:

  1. Participants will develop and extend capacity to use master coaching skill sets that positively impact performance of students, teachers, and/or administrative leaders
  2. Participants will become a member of a Professional Learning and Coaching Network.
  3. Content and skill development can be applied by teachers in coaching K-12 students, not just adult learners.

Recertification Certificate

Recertification Certificates will be given at the end of the PD workshop series after completion of an electronic exit survey.

Presenters

Tony Borash, Debbie Collins, & Kristen Williams

Our facilitating team members, Tony Borash, Debbie Collins, and Kristen Williams, are deeply experienced master coaches. They have led development, training, and support of both executive and instructional coaches at the national, state, and division levels. Their extensive expertise in working with both novice and experienced coaches to develop and extend coaching expertise will add value to participants' skill sets in any role in which coaching skills are essential. They also bring a wide range of content knowledge, especially in their work with vertical SOL standards implementation including mathematics and literacy. Our facilitators have served as teachers and administrators in elementary, middle, and high schools as well as central office lead coaches, directors, and deputy superintendents.

Workshop Series Cost

The workshop fee is $350 for each participant who is a member of a school division that is a member of VaSCL. You can check here for member divisions.

The registration fee for participants from Non-Member school divisions is $400.

If you would like to pay now by credit card or through a PayPal/credit account, you will be given an opportunity to do so below.

If payment is not made by credit card/PayPal account at registration, the person whom you identified as the Billing Contact will be sent an invoice for payment of your registration fee.

Refund Policy

VaSCL has a no refund policy for workshop registrations.

We are happy to allow a substitute to attend in your place. Allison will need to know the person’s name and email address for confirmation.
