Workshop Details

Join VASCL for an engaging and innovative series of virtual workshops focused on leveraging generative AI to enhance instructional practices. T.E.A.C.H. (Transforming Education through AI Connections and Humanity) will guide educators through the practical application of AI to improve curriculum design, lesson planning, assessments, and unpacking standards. Participants will gain hands-on experience and valuable insights into integrating AI safely into their educational practices, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to transform their teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.

Recertification Certificate

Recertification Certificates (5 points) will be given at the end of the PD workshop series after completion of an electronic exit survey.

Presenters

Tyler Hunt

Tyler Hunt is a cofounder of T.E.A.C.H. and currently serves as the Secondary ITRT for Martinsville City Public Schools. With 14 years of experience, Tyler has taught elementary and middle school and coached athletics in other districts. Tyler's expertise in integrating technology into education makes him a valuable resource for enhancing instructional practices through AI.

Cary Wright

Cary Wright is the other cofounder of T.E.A.C.H. and is currently the Coordinator of Humanities and Advanced Programs for Martinsville City Public Schools. Cary has taught all levels of high school English and held various leadership roles, including coaching, in other school districts in Virginia for over 25 years. Cary's extensive experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership ensures that educators receive top-notch guidance in utilizing AI to improve educational outcomes.

Workshop Series Cost

The workshop fee is $75 for each participant who is a member of a school division that is a member of VaSCL. You can check here for member divisions.

The registration fee for participants from Non-Member school divisions is $85.

If you would like to pay now by credit card or through a PayPal/credit account, you will be given an opportunity to do so below.

If payment is not made by credit card/PayPal account at registration, the person whom you identified as the Billing Contact will be sent an invoice for payment of your registration fee.

Refund Policy

VaSCL has a no refund policy for workshop registrations.

We are happy to allow a substitute to attend in your place. Allison will need to know the person’s name and email address for confirmation.
