Workshop Details

If your work involves helping others solve problems and grow in the profession, you ARE a coach (even if it's not your job title). A coaching mindset is essential for leaders who want to bring out the best in others. Come ready to learn coaching strategies, apply the basic skills of coaching, and dive into common challenges and problems of practice.

Recertification Certificate

Recertification Certificates (5 points) will be given at the end of the PD workshop series after completion of an electronic exit survey.

Presenters

Laurie McCullough

Laurie McCullough has taught at the elementary, middle, high school, undergraduate and graduate levels. She has held school leadership positions as a principal, math/science coordinator, director of student achievement and director of instruction in school divisions in Central Virginia. Laurie also served as Executive Director of Virginia ASCD for 10 years. In her semi-retirement, Laurie works with What School Could Be as a developer of microcredentials for educators and continues to train and consult with instructional coaches in Virginia.

Meghan Raftery

Meghan Raftery is a freelance educator, life coach, and host of the Edjacent Design Collaborative, a community dedicated to empowering first responders for the future, the educators and caregivers who model a thriving life for our young people. A generalist at heart, Meghan cultivates a breadth and depth of experience both inside and outside of education by supporting teachers, schools, districts, and organizations on innovative projects; supporting educator wellness and development; and developing curriculum. She received her teaching degree from Shippensburg University, her master’s degree from Penn State University, and endorsements from University of Virginia (gifted education) and George Washington University (administration). She is proud to be a certified life coach, specializing in inspiring innovation and entrepreneurship in practicing and retired educators. When she is not working with educators, you can find her at the beach with her husband and 2 children or talking books at her favorite independent bookstore, Read Books, in Virginia Beach.

Workshop Series Cost

The workshop fee is $149 for each participant who is a member of a school division that is a member of VaSCL. You can check here for member divisions.

The registration fee for participants from Non-Member school divisions is $199.

If you would like to pay now by credit card or through a PayPal/credit account, you will be given an opportunity to do so below.

If payment is not made by credit card/PayPal account at registration, the person whom you identified as the Billing Contact will be sent an invoice for payment of your registration fee.
