Using learning trajectory research and math tasks we can overcome the challenges brought on by the pandemic. Students come to us with previous math knowledge and it is our job as teachers to find and build on their strengths. In this hands-on, active, workshop, we will explore how to build and grow students' math strengths through mindsets, math tasks, and learning trajectories. By building on their strengths, students can make connections and build on strategies.

Recertification points will be given at the end of the PD workshop after completion of an electronic exit survey.

Virtual Follow-Up Workshop Schedule

Session #1 (date to be determined): In this first follow-up session, we will reflect on student formative assessment data that was collected after the initial session and use it to determine the next steps for that student, or a group of students. You will leave with an action plan and a series of activities you can use with your students.

Session #2 (date to be determined): In the second follow-up, we will reflect on the implementation of the lessons and activities from the first follow-up session and collaborate on ways to continue to bridge student learning.

She will need to know the person’s name and an email address for confirmation.

The workshop fee is $149 for each participant who is a member of a school division that is a member of VaSCL. You can check here for member divisions.

The registration fee for participants from Non-Member school divisions is $199.

VaSCL has a no refund policy for workshop registrations. In the event that a workshop is canceled by VaSCL, refunds will be made in full.

If you would like to pay now by credit card or through a PayPal/credit account, you will be given an opportunity to do so below.

If payment is not made by credit card/PayPal account at registration, the person whom you identified as the Billing Contact will be sent an invoice for payment of your registration fee.
