Workshop Details

To be effective in working with a variety of teachers, coaches must be able to differentiate their approaches while staying grounded in the basic skills of coaching: listening, questioning, and providing feedback. These skills are applied differently in different coaching models and with teachers whose needs vary. This session will provide coaches with tools, strategies, and opportunities to practice coaching interactions along a continuum of coaching models and situations, adjusting coaching practices according to teachers' needs.

Recertification points will be given at the end of the PD workshop after completion of an electronic exit survey.

Virtual Workshop Information

Virtual Follow-Up Workshop Schedule

Session #1 (date to be determined): Participants will be asked to keep notes and/or artifacts from coaching interactions to bring to the follow-up. We'll use these as cases to explore matching coaching strategies to teachers' needs in real-life situations. Participants will set goals for their coaching practice between now and the second follow-up

Session #2 (date to be determined): Coaches will self-assess and reflect on their goals and practice.
